Coaching Review

Digital Business Coaching

Coaching isn't affordable for everybody. But if you have the financial resources, good coaching is one of the substantial investments I would always recommend considering.

New Review£4,995 + VAT

My view: good coaching can be one of the best investments you make

Let me start with the obvious point. £4,995 plus VAT is a lot of money. For a UK buyer, the checkout currently shows a total of £5,994 including VAT. There is also a split-payment option of two payments of £2,750, before any applicable VAT.

So this isn't a training course you buy on impulse and perhaps get around to watching one day. It's a serious investment in coaching, support and the development of your online business.

Coaching certainly isn't affordable for everybody. However, if you have the financial resources available, good coaching is something I would highly recommend considering. I say that because coaching made an enormous difference to my own understanding of online marketing.

My own experience with coaching

When I took early retirement, I joined a coaching programme with Mark Wightly for around a year. We eventually launched a product together on WarriorPlus and made approximately 650 sales.

A few years later, I worked with Jeremy Kennedy. Once again, we developed and launched a training programme, this time making approximately 150 sales.

Those sales were obviously welcome, but looking back, they weren't the biggest benefit I received. The biggest benefit was what I learned.

Working directly with people who understood online marketing considerably better than I did accelerated my understanding in a way that simply buying more courses hadn't. They could look at what I was doing, identify problems, explain why something wasn't working and show me what they would do differently.

Perhaps even more importantly, I got to see how experienced online marketers actually approached product creation, launches, traffic, offers and selling. In truth, considering what I learned and subsequently went on to do, I regard the coaching I received as incredible value for money.

What about Stas Prokofiev?

There's an important distinction I want to make here. I have not personally used Stas Prokofiev as a coach. So I'm not going to tell you what it's like to be coached by Stas when I haven't had that experience.

What I can tell you is that I've bought and worked through somewhere in the region of 10 to 12 of his paid training courses. I've reviewed a number of them elsewhere in the AI Library, and I've consistently found his training good. That gives me considerably more confidence than I would have from simply reading a coaching sales page.

Stas also has an established online track record that you can investigate for yourself. With an investment of this size, I strongly recommend that you do exactly that. Don't rely solely on my recommendation or the claims on a checkout page. Research the person you're considering working with and decide whether their experience is relevant to the business you're trying to build.

What does Digital Business Coaching cover?

The programme is positioned around developing and selling knowledge products online, with support covering:

  • finding and creating products and offers
  • building a marketing ecosystem
  • audience building
  • paid and organic traffic
  • sales funnels, messaging and copy
  • payment systems and automation
  • advertising and lead generation
  • implementation and accountability
  • access to Stas's team and resources

The offer also lists onboarding and roadmap planning, monthly live Q&A calls, weekly accountability and goals, email support and access to funnels, advertisements, sales material and messaging scripts.

In other words, the proposition isn't simply “here are some videos showing you how to build an online business.” The potentially valuable part is the combination of information, implementation, feedback, support and accountability.

Information isn't usually the problem

There is more free information about online marketing available today than anybody could consume in a lifetime. AI has made that even more obvious. You can ask ChatGPT how to create a product, build a funnel, write an email, create an advert or generate a content plan and receive a perfectly reasonable answer in seconds.

Yet people still struggle to build successful businesses. Often the problem isn't a lack of information. It's knowing which information applies to your particular situation, what you should do next, whether you're doing it correctly and what to change when the results aren't what you expected.

That's where good coaching can be very different from another course. A good coach isn't simply giving you more information. They're helping you apply it to your business. That was certainly the value I found in my own coaching.

A word about some of the claims

The Digital Business Coaching sales material contains some very strong statements, including references to making your first or next £100k, going live with a sales system quickly, an ROI task within 14 days and making £1,000 in week one.

I would treat these as sales-page claims and programme objectives, not promises of what you personally will achieve. No coach can guarantee what an individual business will earn. Your results will depend on your product, market, starting position, skills, implementation, available resources and many other factors.

I'd go into coaching with a different question: Can working closely with somebody who has considerably more experience than me help me avoid mistakes, make better decisions and shorten my learning curve? My own experience says that good coaching absolutely can.

The cost of doing nothing

During my working career, when considering improvement projects, one of the questions we would sometimes ask was: What is the cost of doing nothing?

That's relevant here too. £5,994 is unquestionably a significant amount of money. But suppose somebody has spent three or four years buying courses, trying different business models, changing direction, struggling to generate traffic and never quite getting a business working. There is a cost associated with that too. Not just money, but time.

That doesn't suddenly make £5,994 cheap, and it certainly doesn't mean everybody should spend it. It simply means that price and value aren't necessarily the same thing. My previous coaching wasn't cheap. Looking back, however, I consider it extremely good value because of what I learned and was subsequently able to apply.

Who I think should consider this

I would consider this type of coaching if you already know that you genuinely want to build an online knowledge business and you have the financial resources to invest without putting yourself under financial pressure.

It becomes particularly interesting if you've already spent considerable time trying to work everything out yourself and feel you're going around in circles.

I'd be much more cautious if £5,994 represents money you cannot comfortably afford, money you would need for normal living expenses, or debt you'd be taking on in the hope that the coaching quickly pays for itself.

I also wouldn't join simply because you've been attracted by the possibility of making £100,000. I'd join because you want experienced help building a real business. Those are two very different reasons.

My verdict

Strong recommendation to consider — with an important qualification

Coaching isn't affordable for everybody. But if you have the financial resources, I highly recommend considering good coaching.

That's based primarily on my own experience. The two periods when I worked directly with experienced online marketers made a bigger difference to my understanding of online marketing than almost anything else I did.

I've never personally been coached by Stas Prokofiev, and I want to make that completely clear. However, I have bought somewhere around 10 to 12 of Stas's paid training courses, and my experience of his training has been consistently positive.

At this price, though, do your homework. Research Stas. Read the full offer. Decide what you specifically want coaching to help you achieve. If possible, establish exactly how much direct access and individual feedback you'll receive. And make sure the investment is genuinely affordable for you.

Not because I believe a coach can magically build your business for you. Because I've experienced first-hand just how much difference the right guidance can make.
